How the calculation works
Month one members = audience × joining rate, rounded down. From month two: previous members × (1 − churn) + new members. We multiply by the monthly price. After launch, member counts are expected values and may include decimals. Churn stays constant, with no annual plans or returning members.
Can I use this if I start from zero?
Yes. Set your starting audience to zero and enter your own assumption for new monthly members. The model adds them from month two.
Does Tea already sell subscriptions?
This tool is independent of the platform. During the Pilot, you sell through your own checkout and add paying students to Tea. Tea does not yet handle recurring billing.
